Our Story

In 2021 when we connected on Bumble, Charlotte was working for a non-profit and had just decided to apply for PhD programs across the country. Adam was a single parent raising Benji while juggling work.

We were both re-entering the dating scene after the COVID pandemic but felt a connection through our initial conversations and went on a first date at Duke’s Counter. From there, we bonded over dinners at restaurants across DC (cheers to Lupo Verde and the Green Zone), road trips into Virginia, and hikes in Rock Creek Park. Adam introduced Charlotte to Shenandoah National Park, and Charlotte tested out every new vegetarian pasta recipe with Adam.

After months of squeezing in dates through child care maneuvering and work commitments, Charlotte and her cat Tatiana moved in with Adam and Benji in 2022. We then began building our family together, embracing holiday vacations to Palm Springs, trips to Homestead Farm, and summer visits to Colorado.

Adam proposed to Charlotte in July at the Hillwood Estate gardens, and Charlotte was overjoyed to say yes! We are so excited to celebrate with you as we enter this new chapter!
